Whether you’re a FaZe Clan hopeful or a casual player looking to increase your long-range threat in CoD’s battle royale, you’ll want to know the best from the rest in the sniper rifle category. Here are the top 5 best sniper rifles in Warzone Season 4, ranked.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, despite the number of weapon buffs and nerfs it contained, was pretty light when it came to tinkering with sniper rifles. They’re still able to one-hit knock with incendiary ammo and, despite the changes to Warzone damage, appear pretty untouched by the devs’ tweaks.

We have made a couple of changes to our best sniper list nonetheless, with certain weapons just edging ahead of others.

5) Victus XMR

Most similar to the MCPR-300, the Victus XMR is a long way back because it’s considerably slower and clunkier. It’s best used as a long-range suppressant, setting up in a difficult to reach spot and picking off enemies who stray within range.

Unfortunately, its sluggish nature means you’re pretty much toast if you’re caught moving. You’ll also need a reliable sniper support weapon in your back pocket to keep you covered in other engagements. Then, equip attachments that speed it up and capitalize on its incredible power, like the ones we’ve detailed below:

  • Barrel: Mack 8 33.5 Super
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Grip: Bruen G305
  • Stock: XRX Rise 50
  • Ammunition: .300 Incendiary

4) SP-X 80

The SP-X 80 is a decent if unspectacular sniper in Season 4. It occupies a middle ground between the quicker and weaker snipers (like the SP-R 208 and LA-B 330) and the heavier and clunkier snipers (like the Victus XMR and MCPR-300).

Unfortunately, it’s middling performance in most departments holds it back, with lacklustre power and modest range meaning only a headshot will really give opponents anything to think about. Our recommended build improves its viability without affecting the speed that has it in fourth place:

  • Stock: PVZ-890 Tac Stock
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
  • Ammunition: .300 Incendiary
  • Muzzle: Bruen Agent 90
  • Magazine: 8 Round Mag

3) Signal 50

The Signal 50 was, for some time, the best sniper in Warzone. When the class as a whole was unable to one-hit, its semi-automatic rate of fire made it the class’s standout option. No other sniper could come close to pinning players down or eliminating them as quickly.

Since the class was given the one-hit ability, it’s naturally fallen in standing and popularity. However, we’re keeping it third because it can still do a lot other bolt-actions can’t. Its quick rate-of-fire and larger magazines mean it can suppress opponents and take down multiple rapidly. The following build looks to springboard on these strengths:

  • Barrel: 29″ TV Kilo-50
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Rear Grip: SA Finesse Grip
  • Ammunition: .50 Cal High Velocity
  • Stock: FSS Echo Stock

2) FJX Imperium

Only introduced in Season 3, the FJX Imperium remains in the top two best snipers in Warzone. It’s not quite the Intervention from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. It’s certainly close, though. You can think of it as a boosted SP-X; quick, forgiving and powerful.

Even if you’re not hitting those all important headshots, you’ll have them worried with the FJX’s all-round excellent profile. We think extended mags and the Field-Wrapped Handle are the most important attachments to have, improving its handling and ensuring multiple enemies can be challenged in a short duration:

  • Stock: FJX Lux-7
  • Rear Grip: Skull-40
  • Magazine: 7 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: .408 Incendiary
  • Carry Handle: Field-Wrapped Handle

1) MCPR-300

We bumped the MCPR-300 down to second place in Season 3 in favor of the FJX Imperium. As you can see, we’ve flipped the top two back round for Season 4 Reloaded. Imagine the Victus and FJX have spawned a sniper baby (sorry) and it’s the MCPR.

Easier to use than the Victus and much stronger than the FJX, it occupies a sweet spot that no other sniper does. Incendiary rounds make it even more formidable, as does the FSS MERC Stock. It’s our go-to sniper in Season 4 for good reason:

  • Barrel: 22” OMX 456
  • Ammunition: .300 Incendiary
  • Grip: CRONEN ZERO Rear Grip
  • Stock: FSS MERC Stock
  • Muzzle: FTAC Reaper

Those are our definitive rankings of the best sniper rifles in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded. For everything else Activision’s BR, check out the related content below or our other weapon class guides, like the best ARs and best SMGs in Warzone right now.
